To enable SMS Service Bulletins, text the word METROBUS to 88188
From your text-enabled device, text the word ROUTES to 88188. The reply will ask for the 4-digit bus stop ID - you can find this on the bus stop sign, or you can also find it metrobus.com/nextbus.
You can save a step by texting ROUTES along with the stop id all at once, for example, text ROUTES 1150 instead of just ROUTES when you make your request.
Once you text the bus stop ID, the reply will provide you with a list of route numbers servicing the stop. Text back the route number for which you want to receive departure times from the bus stop.*
The reply will show the next two departure times for the route you selected and the direction those trips will be heading.
*If only one route services a bus stop, the reply will be the next scheduled departures from the stop - you will not be prompted to reply with a route number.
Text MCARD and your 6-digit m-Card number to 88188 (for example, MCARD 100000) and you can fetch details about your m-Card number including last use, balance remaining, pass expiry date and the number of AIR MILES® reward miles you have earned by riding with Metrobus.
If you have reloaded your m-Card online, text RELOAD and your 6-digit m-Card number to 88188 (for example, RELOAD 100000) and you can track the progress of your recent order so you'll know when your card will reload on-board. Orders received before 3 PM normally reload on-board next business day.
